duration

To maintain your residency permit, you cannot be absent from Portugal for more than 6 consecutive months or 8 non-consecutive months within a year, within the period of the residence permit (2 years initially and 3 years upon renewal).

To renew your residency permit, you must meet specific document requirements, which should be similar to those submitted during the initial application.
